What is the registration process?

  • The Investigator completes the online Investigator Registration application form (below) providing information on his/her institution, a biosketch (from the SF424 form), and information on NHLBI and
    non-NHLBI funding sources.
  • The NHLBI Gene Therapy Group (GTG) reviews the application; notification of their decision is sent to the applicant.
  • Approved investigators are automatically Registered (recognized) in the system; the Registered Investigator uses the “User name” and “Password” he/she provided in the application to access Request for Service Application (RSA) forms.
  • Investigators will also be asked to select a security question/answer.
Note:  Investigator Registration forms must be completed in full to receive review by the NHLBI GTG.  If you have any questions about how to complete the forms, please contact the Clinical Coordinating Center.

Why does a registered investigator need a User Name and Password?

The User Name and Password allows the registered investigator to login and access all types of RSA forms; to access and return to his/her own RSA forms that have been started but not completed; and to see a report of the status of his/her RSA forms in process or submitted. Each registered investigator has access to his/her RSA documents only.

If you are interested in the services offered through the Gene Therapy Resource Program, complete the on-line registration form.
